Introduction

Soil pollution and contamination pose significant environmental challenges stemming from various sources such as pesticides, fertilizers, heavy metals, and chemical residues. The consequences of soil pollution are far-reaching, affecting soil health, agricultural productivity, and ecosystem integrity.

Chemical residues from agricultural practices, industrial activities, and urban runoff contribute to soil degradation, disrupting natural nutrient cycles and contaminating groundwater resources.

Soil pollution from nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, and micronutrients exacerbates nutrient imbalances, leading to soil acidification, salinization, and loss of fertility. Heavy metal pollution, including lead, arsenic, and cadmium, further compounds soil degradation, posing serious risks to human health and ecosystem stability. Addressing soil pollution necessitates comprehensive methodologies for soil conservation, including the conservation of arable land, implementation of reclamation techniques, and restoration of degraded soil ecosystems.

Effective soil management strategies are imperative for safeguarding soil quality, preserving agricultural productivity, and promoting sustainable land use practices.
